SIIM \u2013 Stan\u00addar\u00addized Incoming Invoice Manage\u00adment<\/h3>\n
\nThe go-ahead for the SIIM (Stan\u00addar\u00addized Incoming Invoice Manage\u00adment) project at BSH was therefore given. The primary aim was to stan\u00addar\u00addize the pro\u00adces\u00adsing of incoming invoices with an automatic, paperless process throug\u00adhout the entire company and at all inter\u00adna\u00adtional sites.<\/p>\n
The company chose the Invoice Manage\u00adment solution from Insiders, with the smart INVOICE TABLE standard product. At BSH, the universal, creditor-inde\u00adpen\u00addent invoice reader extracts header and footer data and the important item data from all incoming invoices. Numerous logical checks and intel\u00adli\u00adgent database matching pro\u00adce\u00addures ensure that the extracted invoice infor\u00adma\u00adtion is of a high quality. A standard interface then transfers the data to the down\u00adstream workflow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Faster and more Efficient Invoice Process<\/h3>\n
\nFrom the very beginning, the key criterion for the success of the project was a very short invoice throughput time. Now, with FI invoices (invoices without an order reference), infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the approver of the invoice who has respon\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adlity within the workflow is also already added when the invoice is captured using smart INVOICE TABLE. In this way, the invoice can be auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally forwarded to the employee respon\u00adsible when it is trans\u00adferred to SAP. There is no longer any need for sub\u00adse\u00adquent time-consuming assign\u00adment in the workflow and the invoice can be checked, approved and posted imme\u00addia\u00adtely. The danger of losing discounts is a thing of the past.<\/p>\n
At the same time, the account asso\u00adcia\u00adtions for FI invoices are already captured in smart INVOICE TABLE. If required, the invoice line items are broken down and assigned to the correct imper\u00adsonal accounts. This also saves BSH time spent handling the invoice in sub\u00adse\u00adquent book\u00adkee\u00adping steps and speeds up the entire process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Roll-out<\/h3>\n
\nToday, BSH processes more than 1,600,000 invoices every year via all its national sub\u00adsi\u00addia\u00adries using the Insiders solution. After start-up in Germany and Spain, the solution was launched in the Scan\u00addi\u00adna\u00advian countries of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, plus the Baltic region with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. They were followed by Poland, Turkey, Russia, China, India, Singapore and South Africa, among others. In between, the Insiders products are in use at BSH in over 30 countries.<\/p>\n
The solution\u2019s subsystem capa\u00adbi\u00adlity in par\u00adti\u00adcular ensures that it can be deployed inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnally. This makes it possible to integrate other national sub\u00adsi\u00addia\u00adries without a great deal of admi\u00adnis\u00adtra\u00adtive work. BSH is currently in the test phase for use in Malaysia.<\/p>\n
The solution\u2019s language inde\u00adpen\u00addence is of great benefit to BSH in this context. For example, all the cha\u00adrac\u00adters and cur\u00adren\u00adcies for the various countries are already included in the standard product. Country-specific requi\u00adre\u00adments, e.g. checking for VAT com\u00adpli\u00adance, meet all of BSH\u2019s needs. And what is more, to ensure that order cor\u00adre\u00adla\u00adtion also works outside of the Euro zone, two cur\u00adren\u00adcies are extracted if required, i.e. the order currency and the national currency.<\/p>\n

Clear and intuitive graphical reports provide complete, trans\u00adpa\u00adrent and con\u00adstantly up-to-date infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the pro\u00adces\u00adsing procedure. Data con\u00adcer\u00adning the invoice pro\u00adces\u00adsing per\u00adfor\u00admance is therefore always available and BSH employees can supply infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the status of all invoices at any time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
