The project partners will jointly report there on the automatic assign\u00adment of incoming mail to the relevant line of business. <\/strong><\/p>\n Together with our customer Signal Iduna, we will be reporting on the automated reco\u00adgni\u00adtion of divisions using AI and machine learning at the \u201eDun\u00adkel\u00adver\u00adar\u00adbei\u00adtung und Work\u00adflow\u00adun\u00adter\u00adst\u00fct\u00adzung in Ver\u00adsi\u00adche\u00adrungen\u201c con\u00adfe\u00adrence. <\/p>\n Jens Clasen, Product Owner smart FIX at Signal Iduna, and Christian Bokelmann, Aut\u00adho\u00adrized Signatory and Head of Key Account Manage\u00adment at Insiders Tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies, present a joint project on the pre\u00adsorting of incoming documents \u2013 letters, faxes and e\u2011mails \u2013 at the insurance group under the title \u201eAutomated Class Reco\u00adgni\u00adtion in Input Manage\u00adment at Signal Iduna with AI\u201c. Until now, these documents were sorted manually into the various insurance lines, totaling 27, and then processed in input manage\u00adment. The resulting high workload was to be signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly reduced by incre\u00adasing the auto\u00adma\u00adtion of this process. <\/p>\n As part of the intro\u00adduc\u00adtion of smart FIX, the Insiders solution for pro\u00adces\u00adsing incoming mail, the first step at Signal Iduna was to train automated reco\u00adgni\u00adtion of insurance lines. The latest deep-learning tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally recognize the relevance for the company\u2019s 27 insurance lines, inde\u00adpen\u00addent of the incoming channel, format and structure, and assign the incoming document to a line. After only a short training phase, the new solution was able to correctly assign more than three quarters of the documents without any manual inter\u00adven\u00adtion. With this auto\u00adma\u00adtion, Signal Iduna was able to dra\u00adsti\u00adcally reduce the manual effort required for line-of-business reco\u00adgni\u00adtion while signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly incre\u00adasing pro\u00adces\u00adsing speed.<\/p>\n \u201eInsurance companies receive a flood of mail every day through a variety of com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion channels.\u201c<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Christian Bokelmann explains. \u201eOur joint project with Signal Iduna shows how effective the automatic reco\u00adgni\u00adtion of insurance lines and pre-sorting of incoming documents alone can be, and how much time and effort this saves.
