Insiders, a leading provider of intel\u00adli\u00adgent auto\u00adma\u00adtion (IA) software, has launched a struc\u00adtured exchange on the use of agentic AI in the insurance industry with a high-level expert dialogue. The round\u00adtable in Berlin brought together selected decision-makers from insurance companies with leading rese\u00adar\u00adchers and tech\u00adno\u00adlogy experts with the aim of jointly spe\u00adci\u00adfying the potential and requi\u00adre\u00adments for the next stage of deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of AI-supported core processes.<\/p>\n

Agentic AI repres\u00adents a new gene\u00adra\u00adtion of process auto\u00adma\u00adtion in which AI systems not only execute tasks, but also inde\u00adpendently prepare decisions, prio\u00adri\u00adtize steps, and adapt processes to specific situa\u00adtions. This approach enables more flexible, reliable processes and helps insurers respond more quickly to new requi\u00adre\u00adments.<\/p>\n

The meeting was opened by Norbert Dick, long-time IBM General Manager Insurance Industry. This was followed by pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Vollmer from the German Research Institute for Arti\u00adfi\u00adcial Intel\u00adli\u00adgence (DFKI) and RPTU Kai\u00adsers\u00adlau\u00adtern-Landau, Dr. Christian Bielefeld, manage\u00adment con\u00adsul\u00adtant and former member of the Executive Board of VHV Holding and the Signal Iduna Group, Prof. Dr. Peter Lig\u00adges\u00admeyer, Director of Fraun\u00adhofer IESE and Chair of Software Engi\u00adnee\u00adring at RPTU Kai\u00adsers\u00adlau\u00adtern-Landau, and Jens Ringel, Managing Director of Ver\u00adsi\u00adche\u00adrungs\u00adforen Leipzig GmbH, gave keynote speeches on the extent to which research and ope\u00adra\u00adtional practice have already converged. The pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions made it clear that Agentic AI is not con\u00adsidered a distant future tech\u00adno\u00adlogy, but rather the next logical step for data-driven insurance processes.<\/p>\n

The sub\u00adse\u00adquent creative workshop provided space for dis\u00adcus\u00adsion and showed where the industry currently stands and what con\u00addi\u00adtions need to be created for the pro\u00adduc\u00adtive use of Agentic AI. The focus was on a 360-degree view of Agentic AI in the insurance industry. The par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpants agreed that cross-tech\u00adno\u00adlogy col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adtion is a key factor in trans\u00adla\u00adting new deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adments into mar\u00adke\u00adtable solutions more quickly.<\/p>\n
